# Category Clan
### Clan — Lineage and Belonging
Every Kcanther belongs to a **Clan**.
A Clan defines lineage, not role or perception. It establishes a shared identity based on affinity rather than hierarchy, situating each Kcanther within a broader collective. This lineage is **embodied through a unique head and chest structure**, forming the core anatomy shared by all members of the same Clan.
Clan membership does not affect behaviour or rewards. It provides context — a structural marker that locates each Kcanther within the collection. Each Kcanther is assigned to **one Clan only.**
The collection is composed of **25 Clans**, distributed to ensure balance and diversity across the ecosystem.
